August 20th and 21st
The way of the word-witch is full of mist and muse. To write from the deep places in our psyche is to scry low in the hidden well of archetypal understanding and mythic intelligence. We write as Rite. We call to the Otherworld through poetry, verse, and story, inviting a creaturely language to come through us in imagery, symbols, and sensory knowing.
In this two-day, 4-part event, participants will explore techniques for wielding magickal writing as an everyday practice of calling to the Wild Unseen, for prophecy and divination, and in their embodied spell-crafting work. Five-times published author and Witch-Storyteller Danielle Dulsky will offer participants multiple tools and rituals for braiding writing, witchcraft, and “subtle energy intelligence” together, and all attendees will learn techniques for sharing this work with others if they feel called (You do not need to be a facilitator to take part in this class, however).
Join the sessions live or view the recordings later.
All recordings will be posted the evening of 8/21. All times are in ET. Please note that the “join live” links are ONLY if you are joining the session live. By the evening of 8/21, the “join live” links will be replaced with the recording links.
Note that it is recommended but NOT necessary to move through these sessions in order. If you are only able to join the second session live, for instance, please do, even if this means you be viewing the recordings of the first, third, and fourth sessions later. The recordings will be available for one year or you are able to download them and keep them forever and ever.
recommended materials for all sessions:

2. A few large pieces of paper (18 x 24 newsprint is best) if you can.

Note: I neglected to mention this at the end of our session, so I’ll note it here: The “Word-Witch Devotional” is essentially you, as Word-Witch, engaging in any or all of these practices every day for at least 29 days, marking the experience with question/answer pairings as we did in all four sessions, keeping track of what your own words are showing you alongside the proof you are receiving that your words have merit. In other words, like I do with my dream journals, develop a regular practice of returning to your own word-witchery and see how it makes sense given your life experience. Track your proof. If you have a question/answer pairing that does not make sense to you now, put it on your altar until it makes sense. Keep the doors open. Have a “word-witch journal” that is dedicated to this work. Weave it into your work as you feel called. And so it is!
In the final session, Danielle will offer a range of tools for prophetic writing, using poems as oracles, writing with dreamscapes and “elemental teachers,” and writing as a daily practice for walking in both worlds. Participants will learn how to divine within their own words, naming themselves both poet and prophet, and explore the possibility of creating their own “Word-Witch Devotional” if they feel called.
