The dawn of wintertide finds the heathen-poet calling darkness a trusted teacher and shadow a knowing friend. We listen to the intelligence of the wilds and become creaturely beneath the Long Night’s Moon, inviting our memories to mother our muse and slower rhythms to shape our dreamscapes. During this one-day, two-part workshop, we will reflect on this strange chapter in the world story, befriend wonder, and write pagan poems for the living and the dead.

A Personal Divination System for Witches, Poets, and Dreamers

Initiation means to begin. When the shadows of summer come for us, our memories of our many descents and risings become muse. We seek the symbols that mark our personal myths. We collect our bone wisdoms, those deep truths that seem to echo in our depths. We leave our sunlit dreamscapes and follow the silver thread of fate into the underworld, stitching our stories from our joys and our griefs, our small deaths and our many initiations.

In this one-day, 3-part event, participants will create their own 52-card oracle decks, using mythic images, their own stories, memories, and visions as muse. This is a life-scape oracle, a handcrafted, personal system of divination to be lovingly nested within any witch, seer, or maker’s toolbox.

A Masterclass on Embodied Writing for Spellcasting, Prophecy, and Magickal Living

The way of the word-witch is full of mist and muse. To write from the deep places in our psyche is to scry low in the hidden well of archetypal understanding and mythic intelligence. We write as Rite. We call to the Otherworld through poetry, verse, and story, inviting a creaturely language to come through us in imagery, symbols, and sensory knowing.

In this two-day, 4-part event, participants will explore techniques for wielding magickal writing as an everyday practice of calling to the Wild Unseen, for prophecy and divination, and in their embodied spell-crafting work. Five-times published author and Witch-Storyteller Danielle Dulsky will offer participants multiple tools and rituals for braiding writing, witchcraft, and “subtle energy intelligence” together, and all attendees will learn techniques for sharing this work with others if they feel called (You do not need to be a facilitator to take part in this class, however).

In this one-day, 3-part immersion, participants will name memory as muse, stepping over winter’s threshold into the snowscapes of Yule’s Dreaming Time, listening to the eternal voice of the “wise self,” and weaving personal prophecies for the new year from vision, poetry, and mythic imagery.
