Tongue of the Heathen Poet

A Personal Mythwork, Non-Traditional Business Writing, and Dreamspeak Workshop for Visionaries, Word-Witches, and Storytellers

We are living the untamed songs hummed by the bone-woman.

We are the haunted dreams of the yet- to-be-born, and our small stories matter.

Join Danielle for a one-day, two-part writer’s workshop on embodiment, mythwork, and dreamspeak.

May our heathen rooftop anthems soar moonward, be kissed by the frozen lips of knowing ghosts who have seen such things before, crystallize into ice-blue song-cells full of imaginal poetry, and fall softly to these silent, dark lands to seed the new, wild dawn.

For both sessions, bring a journal, writing utensil, and your wild imagination.

Session One, THE EMBODIED MYTH: CREATION, DESTRUCTION, AND THE HAG ARCHETYPE

In the end, we are all the hag. During this first session, Danielle will discuss the relationship between our ancestral creation myths, magick, and these strange times. Participants will create their own small rituals of “embodied writing,” tapping into the depths of the “cauldron of warming” through the breath, mythic energy, Jungian dream analysis, and shadow wisdom. We will write and tell the stories of our work in the world as we know it, of our dream-visions for a changed time.

Session Two, THE AGE OF HEATHEN: THE MUSE OF THE MOMENT, THE OUTLAW VISIONARY, AND COMING HOME TO FLESH

We seek out the language of paradox and the muse of the moment. This second session focuses on the “Age of Heathen,” in contrast to the “Age of Reason,” and we will dive into visionary fiction, authentic language for business and book proposal writing, embodied symbology, and pathworking as a writer’s tool. We will open ourselves to be met with story, and we will share the tales that want to be told.
