The hallowed hearth:

fire, fate, folklore,

& embodied story-keeping

Some stories burn low and slow. Some tales are a well-built fire, tended with great care by the hag’s hands, fed by breath and a witch’s will. Between the once and ever-after, these stories trouble our tamer selves and wake the wild within. These forbidden wonder stories sleep in our marrow, waiting for a chill wind to stir them awake, casting a spell upon the teller’s tongue that cracks open the red door to a hidden house. There, we are ushered over the threshold beyond all certainty, stung alive by the bird-women, the fox-wives, and the ghosts that haunt the otherworldly road.

The Hallowed Hearth is a 3-part (un)training, a slow-study invitation to meet inside the hidden, haunted house, to gather ‘round our shared fire and speak of fate, fire, and soul hunger. Together, we name three old stories our timely teacher, our oracle, and our wild home. We dwell inside these tales for a time, we learn their lore and we let them have their way with us. We tend the tale, having a fidelity to its old bones, and we share it in order to transform self, other, and world.
